Version v3.1.0-beta.1
Beta, released on June 28, 2026
This beta moves the right-click menus out of the window. They used to get clipped at the edge, so every label stayed short to keep from wrapping. Now they’re their own translucent panels that spill past the window when they need the room.
- Right-click a link and choose “Open Link in a New Window”. It opens as a subtrail of the Trail you were on.
- Dragging Trails from one window into another moves them, nesting and all, instead of dropping a flattened copy.
- Opening a link from another app reuses the Trail you already have for it instead of making a second one.
- Double-clicking the title bar zooms the window on macOS again, and it follows your system “double-click to” setting.
- The right-click menu got a real sort: the ones you reach for most sit up top, the dead ends are gone, and links can now open on the Trailhead too.
- “Area” is now “Trailhead.” Same thing, better name, and your Areas are already Trailheads with nothing for you to do.
