Version v3.3.0-beta.1
Beta, released on July 24, 2026
Horse runs extensions now. Three of them: 1Password, uBlock Origin Lite, and Dark Reader.
That is a small number on purpose. Extensions were built for browsers made of tabs, and Horse is made of Trails, so each one gets tested here by hand before it joins the list. More follow as that testing does.

- Extensions, in beta. Settings has an Extensions screen with the three that are supported today. Turn one on and Horse fetches it, keeps it up to date, and says so when it does.
- Extension icons sit in the corner above your Trails. Click one to open it, right-click it for its own options, and pin the ones you want in reach. The rest wait behind the puzzle button.
- Keyboard Shortcuts is its own screen now, out from under Settings, listing every shortcut Horse answers to and letting you rebind the ones that bother you.
- Menu labels are commands, not text: dragging across an open menu no longer paints a blue selection through them.
- A tooltip gets out of the way of whatever your click just opened, instead of hovering on top of it.
- The mouse pointer stays an arrow over Horse’s own buttons, the way it does in every other browser.
- One plus button covers everything you can make: a Trail, a Note, a Folder, a Trailhead. The four separate buttons are gone.
- The cog opens a small menu instead of jumping straight to Settings, so Keyboard Shortcuts is reachable from the same corner.
