Version v3.1.1-beta.2
Beta, released on July 2, 2026
Take two. The last beta’s groundwork accidentally shipped switched off, so nobody actually ran it. This one we watched boot. As an apology, it brings History along early.
- History! Horse now remembers where you’ve been, across restarts and across every window. Clearing it asks first, then actually clears it.
- Updating Horse no longer collapses your windows down to one. The fix rides out with this version, so the very last collapse happens on the way in.
- Opening a plain link like example.com from Mail or Slack now focuses the Trail you already have instead of minting a duplicate.
- On Linux, right-click menus no longer paint black-on-black in a light theme.
- Some sites could leave a brand-new Trail stuck on a blank page. Not anymore.
- A password prompt in a window you then close no longer hangs around forever.
- The one-time carry-over of your profile is built to survive odd old data and interrupted updates.
