Version v3.3.3-beta.1

Beta, released on August 19, 2026

Security keys work again, and updates stop getting stuck. If you sign in with a YubiKey or similar, 3.3.2 turned those requests away and this beta brings them back, now with a small Horse prompt while your key is waiting to be touched. If you have watched Horse quit for an update and not come back, that is fixed too.

New
  • while a website waits for your security key, Horse tells you so and lets you cancel.
  • when a security key holds several accounts for one website, Horse asks which one to use.
Fixed
  • security keys work again for signing in, after 3.3.2 turned every request away.
  • a sign-in no key ever answers now gives up and tells the website, instead of leaving the page waiting.
  • updates no longer loop, so Horse stops quitting for an update that never installs.
  • choosing Later on an update no longer brings the same prompt straight back.
  • the update prompt shows what is actually in the release.
  • installing an update no longer reports a URL error it never tried to open.
Changed
  • extension support is rebuilt on the exact boundaries Chrome uses, for compatibility and reliability rather than anything you asked for by name.
